Meetings of Minds, A documentary about the MitoSys project

Four short films were the outcome of a unique Europe-wide collaboration between leading scientists and artists to explain the biological process of mitosis to a broad audience.
Ways of Being: Dr Jan-Michael Peters from the Research Institute of Molecular Biology (IMP), Vienna, collaborates with artists Ackroyd and Harvey.
Ways of Growing: Dr Anthony Hyman, Max Planck Institute, Dresden, collaborates with artists Lucy and Jorge Orta.
Ways of Saying: Kim Nasmyth, Department of Biochemistry, Oxford University, and choreographer Shobana Jeyasingh.
Ways of Seeing: Dr Melina Schuh MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, with artist Rob Kesseler.
The documentaries accompanied Artakt’s Exhibition Lens on Life, held in various European locations.
